02 / Know

Know the Story

The road to the beach became a bridge between worlds.

I joined my East L.A. bus rides, Huntington Beach surf and the spirit of Tangaroa, finding one identity between the rhythm of the barrio and the Pacific Ocean.

Ride the street. Ride the wave.

The origin

Bus rides from East L.A. to Huntington Beach surf breaks trace the route between two formative worlds. Tangaroa, the Māori god of the ocean, gives the journey its spiritual current while Pacific rhythm and lowrider cruising show that the barrio street and the ocean can carry the same memory forward.

03 / Feel

Feel the Soul

What I want you to feel.

Belonging does not always require choosing one side. Different cultures, places and ways of moving can become one inheritance when their values are carried with respect.
