Know the Story

Confidence is most powerful when it belongs to the person living it.

I wrote Heat for women whose courage, ambition and loyalty are already settled facts. My role is not to direct that strength, but to recognize it, support it and sometimes enjoy the journey from the passenger seat.

Sometimes you take the shotgun seat and enjoy the journey.

The origin

Heat is about women who know who they are and do not wait for a crowd’s approval. The song follows that confidence from Whittier Boulevard to Brisbane and recognizes strength, adventure and loyalty without asking the woman at its center to soften any of them.
